Twist Wrap Dress

I love the concept of a multi-functional dress that can change into a zillion different looks to suit any occasion. The Dessy Twist Wrap Dress is exactly that and all the styles modeled on the sight look so pretty. I would love one of these dresses in a nice bright summery colour to chuck in a weekend bag when I go on holidays! Perfect as a cover up in between dips or for a nice sunset dinner. If only I could get one in every colour!

The Royal Wedding

Last Friday the 29th April was the wedding of William and Kate, a modern day fairytale and a historic event that captured 2 billion viewers worldwide! The best kept secret and most anticipated detail of the day was Kate's dress, a custom made creation by Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen that was tastefully classic yet modern  and drew inspiration from Grace Kelly's wedding dress more than half a century ago.

I think that Pippa Middleton, Kate's sister, looked gorgeous in her maid of honour dress (so simple and elegant, I loved the flowers in her hair!) as well as her sexy emerald green dress (love love love the colour!)

Finally, Will and Kate looked so happy on their special day! Amongst all the pressure and nerves that they must be feeling knowing that the whole world was watching, they carried themselves so well and really looked like any other loved up couple on their wedding day. She looks so happy to finally have her prince charming and he looks at her like she's the only girl in the world! I love fairytales and happy endings!

Bridesmaids Only

My favourite wedding blog, Polka Dot Bride, always posts beautiful photo shoots of weddings, dresses and venues to give you ideas for your own. This photo shoot features bridesmaids dresses from Bridesmaids only in Double Bay which are so colourful and pretty that I couldn't resist borrowing some ideas!

Designer Watch: Aurelio Costarella

I love beautiful lush flowy gowns and have recently discovered an Australian designer who delivers just that. I've seen Aurelio Costarella in magazines such as Vogue and Madison but have only recently visited his website to view his collections. His Summer and Winter colours are distinct (see below) but I love his signature silhouette that hugs the bodice and cascades down. My favourite is the turquoise dress - love the asymmetric front feature and painting like photo shoot!

Wedding Watch: Rebecca Twigley & Chris Judd

I think Rebecca Twigley is beautiful so I wasn't surprised when I saw her wedding photos to footballer Chris Judd. Her gown was sexy and sophisticated and I love the variety of sheer bridesmaids dresses in timeless grey. The J'Aton gowns are all intricately detailed and beautifully unique. I especially love the sweet heart bodice of Rebecca's wedding gown as it's so feminine and pretty.

Lovisa

I'm getting back into accessories now because it's such a cheap and cute way to revive your existing wardrobe! I really like the stuff at Lovisa at the moment but you can also get good pieces at fashion chain stores and department stores. Websites generally have good ideas on what and how to your jewellery!

Even though it's summer right now and the thought of wearing a scarf makes me sweat, I thought this video would be useful to hang onto once the weather cools down. I recently cleaned out my wardrobe and realised how many scarves I had so I think I will definitely be needing some new and creative ways to wear them this winter..

A Royal Engagememt

I love weddings and with the announcement of Prince William's engagement to Kate Middleton, there has been so much buzz about the modern Royal couple's upcoming nuptials. I think Kate has a very "princess" look and she always looks classy, classic and elegant. She actually reminds me of our very own Princess Mary of Denmark who has become a style icon since she married Prince Frederick.

Will and Kate just issued their official engagement shots by acclaimed photographer Mario Testino and I absolutely love their casual shot. It looks warm, sincere and shows their true love - making them so much more relatable to us 'common folk' than their predecessors ever were. I think it was a great idea to release both a casual and formal portrait of the couple, can't wait to see their wedding shots!

Style Watch: Red & Green Should Always Be Seen

There are so many beautiful red headed women in Hollywood who really know how to make the most of their gorgeous tresses. I've noticed a red carpet trend over the years with many fiery celebrities complimenting their hair with green designer gowns. I wish I could pull off this look - check out the amazing similarities between these lovely ladies - works every time!

Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2010

Every year, Victoria's Secret puts on an extravagant fashion show to show off it's lingerie and world famous Angels. I love watching the show because they are always so creative with their themes, set, dancers, music and of course, costumes and wings! Over the years there have been so many famous angels: Heidi Klum, Gisele Bundchen, Tyra Banks, Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosia, Karolina Kurkova and our very own Miranda Kerr. They bring personality and sass to the runway and through the interviews and profiles that feature in the broadcast. Check out this year's show on youtube!

Coco Before Chanel

I recently watched Coco Before Chanel and it sparked my interest in Chanel's influence in defining the modern woman in her simple and timeless designs. Wearing a little black dress amidst a sea of cream corseted gowns, she looks like she has traveled back in time. Her designs convey casual elegance in timeless silhouettes that transcends over generations and generations.

I think that today, Chanel still stands to be a highly successful and respected fashion house because it sticks to the core design concepts that Coco established in 1909. I love their classic accessories, uniquely Chanel suits and their dresses with a touch of romance. I also admire their advertising campaigns and choice of muses to encapsulate the essence of the brand.

Boutiques.com

Google has launched a fashion search site that lets shoppers build their own personalised boutique and get recommendations to products that match their tastes. Currently only available in the US, it is expected to expand in the future and signals Google's move into the lucrative online apparel and accessories industry - but without a hint of the Google brand.

Google has worked with "100 fashion ‘taste-makers’, like celebrities, stylists and designers, to pick out clothing they like and then to teach Google's machine-learning algorithms about their style and tastes." - The Australian

I jumped on to check it out and built my own boutique in about 15 minutes. I still need to work on refining my preferences, exploring boutiques to follow and working out exactly how it all works but for now, it's a shiny new toy to play with!

Check it out yourselves, follow my boutique and let me know what you think about Google's latest venture!

I can always find something I love from each of her collections, whether it be Bridal or Ready to Wear. Here are some of my favourites from her 2011 collections:

Oh So Coco

I'm always looking for wedding ideas and there's no other way to find little things to share and inspire than to get a sneak peak at a real life wedding. This is when all the details come together into a carefully orchestrated masterpiece to bring to life a vision for THE perfect day.

This is an amazingly beautiful trailer and short film I found capturing the wedding of Canadian supermodel, Coco Rocha and her groom, James Conran on their wedding day in France this year. They rented out Chateau Challain for two days of celebrations with friends and family and it was absolutely picturesque just like a fairytale. Coco's dress by Zac Posen was beautiful and romantic and I loved the film making skills of Gilbert Le and his team at Americana Cinemas and how they captured the "look, feel and ambiance of our special day in a way we can always cherish" - Coco.
